Fall Term Update

Wesley Hall.

UWinnipeg is pleased to become an official signatory of the Scarborough Charter on Anti-Black Racism and Black Inclusion in Canadian Higher Education.

We are excited for a return to in-person classes and activities this Fall Term and would like to announce some important changes coming to The University of Winnipeg campus. Our top priority continues to be the health and safety of everyone in the UWinnipeg community. We will monitor the COVID-19 situation in the province and will modify restrictions, as needed, should the situation change.

Effective Wednesday, August 17, masking will be highly recommended, but not mandatory. For students, faculty, staff, and visitors who are more comfortable wearing masks, we will be making them available at specific locations throughout campus. We ask our community to exhibit compassion with respect to an individual’s choice regarding masking.

In addition, the UWinnipeg campus will once again reopen to the public, starting August 17. For the Fall Term, the University will be open 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Access to campus during the weekends and afterhours will require the use of the video intercoms or card access credentials. Further communications will be forthcoming on campus access.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we continue to ensure a safe return to campus and a successful Fall Term.

Sincerely,

Dr. Todd Mondor,
President and Vice-Chancellor

Dr. Jan Stewart,
Interim Provost and Vice-President, Academic
