Snow, sun and celebrations-that’s what it’s all about on Friday, January 5, 2007 at The University of Winnipeg. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, their families, and friends and neighbours in the community are invited to attend Fun in the Winter Sun and kick off a year of exciting activities for UWinnipeg’s 40th anniversary.
Fun in the Winter Sun will take place outdoors on campus and in Riddell Hall, 385 Spence Street. Main activities will run from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and include snowman building, horse and wagon rides, gingerbread decorating, face painting, balloon art and family entertainment. The University of Winnipeg Students’ Association will also be hosting a pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and a UWSA ball hockey tournament in support of the United Way will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Spence Street (Faculty, staff and student teams must pre-register with Levi Foy at uwsaevents@uwinnipeg.ca. Team registration is $25 for six players.).
