Global College Launch Highlight: Human Rights Watchdog Kenneth Roth

International human rights watchdog Kenneth Roth of Human Rights Watch will be the keynote speaker at the launch of The University of Winnipeg’s Global College on Monday, February 7, 2005.

The daylong public Global College event, Breaking Through Borders: A Dialogue on Human Rights, will also feature University of Winnipeg faculty and students in a variety of panels and interactive sessions. 

Human Rights Watch is the largest U.S.-based international human rights organization. It investigates, reports on, and seeks to curb human rights abuses in 70 countries.

Roth—a human rights worker since 1981, was a former U.S. federal prosecutor in New York and for the Iran-Contra investigation in Washington.
