Religion and Life Week 2007

Security and Spirituality-Religious Life in a Post 9/11 World

Security —including security of faith in a secular world, political security, security of minority groups and security against the fear of the unknown— will be explored by members of different faiths at The University of Winnipeg’s Religion and Life Week 2007.

Against the backdrop of 9/11, shootings at Dawson College and at the Amish school in Pennsylvania, speakers will address how one lives a religious or spiritual life in a society where people’s lives can be threatened at any time in the most unexpected ways.

Sponsored by the President’s Office, the free and open to the public events runs from January 22 – 26, 2007.
