“Students today face two major challenges when choosing their career path – they probably will hold a variety of different jobs over their lifetime, and the majority of these jobs will likely be in areas that don’t even exist today,” said Randy Kobes, Associate Dean of Science, UWinnipeg. ”The Science for Life conference provides a forum for discussion on what options an education in science can open up. Our two featured speakers – Dr. Suzanne Fortier and Dr. Mitchell Joachim – will highlight the increasingly important role science will have in society.”

Registration is recommended, although not required. Complete details at http://www.uwinnipeg.ca/index/scienceforlife.

Members of the media are welcome to attend Science for Life and may arrange one-one-one interviews with Dr. Fortier and Dr. Joachim.
