Summer Institute in Infectious Diseases 2005

The University of Winnipeg’s Global College and its partners The International Centre for Infectious Diseases and the University of Manitoba invite you to attend the first Summer Institute in Infectious Diseases 2005.

Impacts of Infectious Diseases
on Local and Global Communities
Monday, May 30 – Friday, June 3, 2005

With increased human movement around the globe a disease incubated in a jungle in Africa, a fetid pool in South America, or a poultry market in Asia is only a plane ride away. What is the impact of SARS, West Nile Virus, Ebola, or BSE on local and global communities? What are these diseases? What causes them? How are they detected and controlled? This week-long course seeks to answer those questions.

This intensive summer institute can be taken for credit or for professional development. As well, a limited number of seats have been set aside for interested community members.

Space is limited, so register today!
