Summer Institute in Diseases and Policy Free Lectures

UWinnipeg’s Faculty of Science, in collaboration with University of  Manitoba, Canadian Science Centre for Human and Animal Helath and International Centre for Infectious Diseases invite the UWinnipeg community to attend two public events featured during the Summer Institute In Diseases & Policy.

Both events will be held in the Power Corporation Atrium of the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex (599 Portage Avenue).

Plenary Public Lecture: June 10, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Dr. Stephen Moses will discuss the topic “Using evidence to inform HIV/AIDS-related policy and programming: understanding and responding to a heterogeneous global epidemic.”

Plenary Public Roundtable Discussion: June 11, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Expert Discussants Dr. Paul Hackett (U of Saskatchewan), Dr. Linda Larcombe (U of M), Dr. Javier Mignone (U of M), and Dr. Jude Uzonna (U of M) will discuss the topic “It’s Not That Simple!: TB; Diabetes, HIV/AIDS and Other Diseases, and Vulnerable Populations in Manitoba.”
